WHAT IS YOGA FOR YOU?

Exercise is only a small part of yoga for me.


I practice yoga because for that time only I think about nothing else except moving my muscles to music, following my breath, feeling free of the voice in my head. Yoga for me is meditation, a trance like state, a happy place. Yoga is the floaty glow afterwards, the feeling that everything is going to be great. Yoga is a place where I can close my eyes and be anywhere I want to be, feel anything I want to feel. Sometimes in Andrea Everingham’s classes my eyes weep happy tears. Occasionally there are sad tears. Every time it’s magic.
